Overview

As part of CommBank’s group strategy to delivery reimagined products and services for their customers, a core H2 focus Business and Marketing & Corporate Affairs (MCA) is to launch new merchant propositions to drive growth and maintain market share against disruptor brands.

Introducing Smart Mini, the latest payment solution in the “Smart” range of terminals. Launched on 27 February 2023, the Smart Mini payment reader offers a chance to recapture mind share amongst small business, uplift consideration and drive acquisition.

I was responsible for shaping the visual and brand experience across multiple channels to ensure a consistent and impactful launch.

Through cohesive design execution across packaging, social, and print, the Smart Mini launch not only strengthened CommBank’s position in the market but also reinforced the brand’s reputation for innovation and customer focus.

Scope of work

  • Packaging Design – Crafted a modern, user-friendly unboxing experience that elevated perceived value and aligned seamlessly with CommBank’s brand identity.

  • Social Campaign Design – Developed digital assets tailored for paid and organic social, driving awareness and engagement across platforms.

  • Print Advertising – Designed campaign visuals for Brighter Magazine that translated Smart Mini’s value proposition into compelling print executions for nationwide visibility.
